How to remove the lubricating grease mod

hello, this mod doesn't seem to let me refill implements, and as you imagine, this is a gigantic problem. I cant seem to remove the mod from my save game without it getting stuck at 85 percent while loading. is there a way to remove the mod safely?

I haven't used that mod, but it's entirely possible that since it's scripted, and touches so much, you might have to start a new save.

If I was you, I would try selling every vehicle I had used it with and see if it loads from there. Beyond that, any leftover stuff you can't sell, like grease or whatever, you could try deleting from your placables.xml in your save. Point being, try to remove everything it's touched.

Make backup for your saves and whatnot before you do.

Another thing, that's a DD ModPassion mod, and generally, his stuff's pretty solid. I would have to believe it's something you're doing wrong, not the mod. He probably has a discord or some method of support if you're interested in getting the mod to work properly with your setup, as opposed to just removing it.

yeah I think ive figured out the problem why I couldnt refill, seems to work fine now. its unfortunate I cant remove the mod but it will do for now. thanks!

Damn…I was going to remove that mod tonight. I don’t even recall installing it.
I thiught it was a game update. Haha

Maybe to remove you have to take the option off the vehicle. Tonight I will remove the option from vehicle customizations and see what happens.

I had a mod that updated and that had the grease mod as a requirement (after the update) and downloaded it. And when a popup comes up in the mod hub, I just think "yes, download the mod I want." and there's nothing more about it than that.

Definitely can’t uninstall mod without cleaning up vehicles.

I’m trying to manually remove from all my vehicles/equipment but not easy.

I’m surprised this is the case with this mod. The creators mods are usually solid products.

As @Wizard said, I believe the only way to properly remove this mod would be to start a new save. I had a similar issue back in FS19 with the DEF addon. I decided I didn't like it and wanted to remove it, but the save kept getting corrupted. (I made backups) So what I did is load my save with the mod installed, sell off all my vehicles or anything related to the mod, save and quit. Uninstall the DEF mod (in your case the grease mod), then re-buy all vehicles. Obviously I needed to adjust my money, but that was done with another mod, in my case I used the Easy Development Controls mod. Hope this helps or at least introduces the possibility to save your game file.

Just an fyi…the mod was updated this past week. I am not sure if the uninstall issue was resolved but I was able to remove the mod.

However the day before update I removed grease from all vehicles and equipment. (Well at least I think I did).

So I am not sure what fixed it for me but I removed it.

I wonder if this mod is causing condition of equipment getting stuck and they never get damaged. I just baled very large field and my baler is still in 100% condition even if it's old and has lots of hours and is marked with red warning symbol in vehicle overview. It had grease enabled by default when I bought it but decided to remove grease. Also my grass mowers aren't damaged at all after mowing that large field which is also a bit odd because they didn't have grease at any point. Seems that all equipment not using grease are permanently 100% which is a bit dumb and I think I try uninstalling mod
