Control advice needed

Been playing farming sim games for years and always enjoyed them, past few years I've been using G29 wheel pedals and gear shift plus mouse, keyboard along with TrackIR for head tracking, I'm trying to sweet talk the wife into getting the control panel but until I get one Can I use all the above along with an xbox controller connected to the PC?

I want to get the most out of the forestry side of the game as I've never really done it before in any of my games and I think the sticks on the controller would help a lot controlling the tree cutters/cranes but worried about conflicts between the controller and the G29 wheel as they both use the square/triangle/cross/circle format.

Has anyone tried? Thanks.

i use a simple x-box controler on PC and it works fine for me except precision steering at higher speeds

Found a way to get them working together, kind of strange too..

Steam settings, controller, install xbox extended feature support driver. now picks up both xbox controller and G29 wheel separately.. I say its strange because I have steam input for xbox controllers disabled.. but it works apart from the force feedback and steerback stopped working

I use dual joysticks myself and I couldn't imagine doing forestry, loader, forklift work without them. Glad you got them working.

Yeah mouse controls sucked on my wheel loader.

I'm Playing old country life x4 map and Not long expanded into the animal side of farming, putting off forestry until middle of next week, Hopefully I get the FS control panel by then so I can get started on the huge forests the map offers.
