Precision farming and grass
I stepped away from fs22 for a bit, but started a new farm and getting back into it.

When using precision farming I forget which is the acceptable form of fertilizer for grass. After mowing I am using a grass roller, the mowed grass is turning dark but not changing nitrogen levels. Do I have to use solid fert?

When it comes to fertilizing crops is it best to use solid or liquid for precision farming?

Btw…they need to come up with a better way to mark where you been when fertilizing after first growth stage. I’ve used the map but doesn’t help much.

Thanks!

Thanks

You can use any fert you want. Also, with Precision Farming rolling isn't necessary.

Solid, Liquid, or if you're using it, Ammonia will always get you to the perfect level. That said, since I do animals, I always use organic fert on my grass, and it gets it close enough for me.

If you fertilize with courseplay, You can always choose "last way point" after you refill.

The easiest way manually, is to lime it first, so it's white, then the fertilizing stands out more.

Lime not a bad idea but I think at this first stage of growth the lime is already gone.

Maybe I’ll plant and then fertilize right after before any growth. See if that works.

With grass it doesn't matter when you fertilize. You can lay down lime then fert right over it on the same day.

I will let my grass grow fully to the 2nd stage of harvest (3 months) and then mow.
Right after mowing, run a weeder/seeder (with the seeder off) over it and it will be 2/2 fertilized (you'll see the lawn go from light green to dark green and it should be 95% +/- fertilized.

That method will work, but you take an eco score penalty with using a mechanical weeder with precision farming. And, weeds don't grow on grass with precision farming.

If you take a 'see n' spray' sprayer filled with herbicide to a grass field and just turn it on, it won't use any herbicide and you'll get your full PF weed grass score.

Using this method, if you doing all the other PF requirements, you'll have grass fields with a 100 eco score.
