But if you and your son go to downloadable content. then select the 4th icon down (DLC Tab)
Thats all the "official" DLC you have on your game, all you have to do is match up what you and your son have. Ones you might want to look for mainly is either the Platinum and Premium packs, as they are the ones that may actually "matter".
But I would recommend eitherway for your son on PS4 to setup the multiplayer game, as chances are if the mod is available on PS4 its on PC. Also as the PS4 version has limits means that you will be scaled down to his version.
but I would also suggest that you start with just a few mods to start with and gradually increase them as you progress into the game.
