Gameplay Tip for RPG
I am into playing FS22 in a Role Playing mode.

I start with my back story of starting with no starting farm or equipment. Rather than the Manager or Start From Scratch, I begin with the New Farmer game setting. Why - because the other selections usually remove all buildings from the starting farm. I prefer to keep the map intact by beginning with New Farmer, then selling off all equipment and the starting farmland itself.

I then use the Easy Development Controls mod from the ModHub to set the bank account back to $100K. In the GamePlay settings I set it to 28 days per month. This is my RPG starting point.

I use the Better Contracts, Roller, Lime mission mods from ModHub for income. Missions are the only source of income in the beginning while I build up my bare equipment inventory.

I then find a very small empty farmland to buy (cheap or even free), set a motorhome (house) from ModHub, and then rent a tractor, fertilizer, and lime spreader for contract income. I also buy a small workshop at $2000, the Container With Vehicle Workshop mod from ModHub, to maintain my equipment.

Once I have enough money, I'll buy farmland to generate crop income; and/or I use the Basic Pastures Pack mod (ModHub) setup on a field of grass or meadow for up to 200 head of black angus. (The meadow option is cheaper as no seeding is required.)

Growing calves to sell at maturity is cheaper than raising crops, and takes far less equipment: I buy 200 black angus calves in spring and sell them in the fall. Grazing on the field grass (Using the RealismAddon: AnimalGrazing mod which allows the pasture grass to feed the cattle, and buying bales of hay from the store – no TMR needed for beef), hay and water is all that is needed.

Eventually, I grind it out enough to purchase a real farm. Role Playing at its best!
