So I’m new to pc gaming don’t really know much but I bought a nice computer and I’m having issues with mods that other people seem to use with no problem I use king mods and fs22 mods I’ve heard they are safe but don’t really know what site is the most reliable when I try use some mod vehicles my game starts being slow like when I’m driving or moving the camera it’s like it’s in slow motion and then some will be working fine and I go to play the next day and all of sudden it has the same issue or I’ve also had a mod vehicle work complete fine then I change the wheels from the first option to something else and then it’ll start doing the slow motion thing as well so not sure what’s causing this to happen like I said I don’t know much about computers or mods but getting quite aggravated that I spent a lot of money on a nice computer and can’t seem to use much more than the modhub stuff any help is appreciated

What's your specs? "nice" means not that much.

I have NIVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, AMD Ryzen 5 5500, 16GB of ram, and a 2560x1440 monitor with 165 refresh rate

Also I tried a different map and it worked fine it seems I’m just having trouble on the elk mountain ranch map some vehicles make the game run slow and today I the map did something really weird like I could see like the lines in the builds and the vehicles as if it where in auto CAD and some days when I play I can use certain mod vehicles and other days they make the game slow so I’m really confused on what’s going with the map I know the had figured out a while back that the 1.9.1 update messed it up and a couple other maps but now on version 1.14.1 I can’t figure out how to get the the terrain shader xml or if that’s even the problem

Are your drivers updated?
The 3050 it's in the low tier, if you set game options too high it will easily struggle.

Being to this game and modding, I really suggest you use the modhub. If you don't like the interface in game, go to the website and get those mods from there.

Kingmods and FS22 mods sites are... less safe. A lot of the mods are reposetd by folks who aren't mods creators and can have unintended, or even sometimes intended problems. It's important to know how to read your log.txt when using those sites, and troubleshoot your own load orders.

Once you're competent with reading your log, I'd recommend mods from itch.io or individual mod maker's facebook pages, or personal websites.

Generally, if I see something I like on Kingmods, I'll take the little bit of time and try and find out who the actual creator is, and get the mods from their personally chosen distribution method.

Yea I have the newest version it works fine any map other than elk mountain ranch for some reason

Your PC specs are good and should run this(and most others as well) game no probs.

Man I'm a bit confused. Are you new to PCs or just gaming? A person who uses auto-CAD isn't really what I'd call PC inexperienced!

Does patreon do mods? I thought they were the donation portal.

The lines could be the f5 visualizations if you've enabled the console, just cycle trought them until they disappear.

I mean I did engineering design and blueprinting in high school so I’ve used auto-CAD and I know what the parts of the computer are called but don’t really know what they do exactly like I’m not knowledgeable enough to be able to read the log and figure out what’s causing the problem and how to fix it but I played pc games back when windows vista was the newest thing and played farm sim back then and just got back into because I finally have the money to be able to spend on a good computer and it not hurt me to much. I did some robot programming in college but that’s a long story I only went a year

That would be great me and my girlfriend play she builds the farm and I do the work lol she loves horses and has worked with them her whole life so elk mountain is obviously the best map for that but like I said it’s like some days some mod vehicles work fine and then the next day it makes the camera and everything move in slow motion and I have to sell them and make different ones that are working that day and that’s really aggravating

I turned off all camera mods other than the construction mode zoom and I seen where you had the update the shader but I don’t know how I can’t find the the terrainshader xml in the files
