Basically, if a field EVER gets big stones, which usually happnes becasue the AI doesn't remove them, it will always turn over big stones now matter what you use on it.
So, even though a plow should only turn over small stones, if that field ever at any point had large stones in it, the plow will always turn over large stones instead ofsmall ones from that point forward.
The only ways you can avoid it is by never letting large stones show up, which is nearly impossible to do in AI controlled fields, or turn off stones in the options.
I have heard that removingthe field via the paint function in construction, then replowing it to a new filed will reset this bug, but I have not tested it myself as I just stopped using the stones option.
As a side note, the damage that the stones deal to your equipment ONLY affects the paint, so you could technically leave them, or turning them off really isn't going to harm your game play.
It sucks it's been this long and they haven't fixed it, but that is common for the series as a whole.
Thank you.
Gee, if that's the case then I see now why everyone says 'I just turn stones off'... I was willing to deal with them if they added to gameplay decisions as they were intended but as things stand it is a failed gameplay element. Surprising they haven't fixed it.
Silly that the damage is only to the paint, which I don't really care about. The visual representation of the stones is counter-immersive I find though. I was fine with rolling the small ones under but having to use the stone picker on the medium & large ones just to remove them visually if they only do paint damage - no, not gonna bother doing that. And most of the AI owned fields on this map seem to have large stones on them. Stones are going off now.
i always turn them off but i wanted to try again, i guess it's a turn off again for good this time.
