If the tool has PTO connection (yellow tube?), you should be fine.
If not, you might encounter issues with overspreading with a tool that gets it power from mechanical movement - as in - pulling it forward or backwards. You have to be really careful about turning them on and off as you're doing your "bombing runs" as you can't control how much, and where, you spread the Lime.
Unfortunate thing about overspreading Lime is that you cant get rid of it all that fast. With fertilizer you just need one harvest. With Lime, it takes AGES!! I've found that the fastest and easiest way is to just load a save WITHOUT Precision Farming, save and load again with PF enabled.
This resets ALL yours fields and scores to the default state and removes all your PF equipment but that's the price I'm willing to pay for abandoning the spirit of the DLC.
ALSO!
Remember that Lime and Fertilizer (pH and Nitrogen) values for Eco Score update after each harvest, NOT while you're doing the field work. it's like your report card for that harvest. Actual Field Values can be seen from the info box on your low right in real time if you have that enabled.
