Courseplay has me incredibly frustrated.
Courseplay has determined the 1000's of hours of game play ive put in since fs13. I could automate just about anything, most notably unloading a combine and offloading it into a storage silo. When i realized i could select the field, and it claimed to be able to pathfind and find the silo without waypoints, i thought life was going to be easy. However, due to my map, it gets stuck in ditches and hits buildings at my farm. have never had it unload itself properly once. When i create waypoints to the silo, it assumes i created a "field," not a driving course. am i missing something here? Courseplay had such a tried and true interface and now it's completely different.

It is completely different because it is by someone else who took it over. The original maker of course play is now one of the devs working on Cattle and Crops game so no longer doing mods for Farming SImulator.

There is a auto drive mods that lets you create driving routes to do things like you want of emptying harvesters and transporting to a silo.
As Willow says, these days using CouresPlay in combination with Autodrive is the way to go.

For FS22 more than ever they have been designed to work together. Autodrive will drive to a field and then hand over to Courseplay, it will unload (and follow) your Courseplay Harvester and then take it to a silo to unload.

BUT you have to layout routes for Autodrive to follow. For some maps ready made routes can be downloaded plus if a map has traffic splines installed Autodrive will create routes the first time you load it although you still need to fill in way points for places that matter to you. Lots of youtube vids about it (documentation is minimal).

yeah its pretty jank sadly. still in a lot of cases it does a better job than the default AI, especially if u want to do multitool jobs and start with headlands/center

Yeah, you have to combo courseplay with auto drive now. I did the same thing in FS19 "before autodrive" just set up everry field with courseplay routes, and you could combine courses, to make courseplay do it all with ease. Now i set courseplay to havest and unload the harvesters (cuz autodrive kinda sucks at it) to a waiting autodrive "load and deliver" driver waiting on a monster trailer to take it to my silo.

Appreciate the responses. I will give autodrive a shot. I do enjoy that courseplay still makes fieldwork easy and now it doesn't lose the course when i close the game but yeah, combining lol. Good for Satis though for getting a career in game dev
