FS 22 memory issues

While playing the game, anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours I will get a message that memory couldnt be read and then the game crashes. Im on a 1 yr old Win11 HP laptop. I can play American Truck Sim and everything else just fine. I have base game with no DLC's and only have CoursePlay as only Mod. Help

It says, "The instruction at 0x00007FF72E2E0551 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000018. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program."

This could either be a virus working in the background blocking memory areas that windows reserved but also simple a broken memory module. Also a windows 11 incompatible app could reserve wrong memory areas.

I would suggest to first do a full check for viruses most likely windows security or whatever program you use for that, and if that does not find anything you can use the microsoft own memory diagnosis tool that comes with windows 10 upwards. Use the windows search to find memory diagnostic. That tool works outside windows, will restart your pc and diagnose the memory before it restarts into windows.

First, do a file verification check on your game through Steam. Be sure it is all in good order. If that doesn't fix it then move on to something else that may be causing it. FS 22 isn't really that hard on comp. hardware for a year-old comp. Unless you are running a massive amount of mods. FS 22 can only run about 10 GB of mods before it runs out on its built-in allocated disk space.

Yeah I already did the verify files thing and the only Mod I use is CoursePlay. On the outside chance it was that Mod, I deleted it and tried playing the game without it. Still shuts down after a while.

I have the same problem since I installed Windows 11.
Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. windows 11 is very demanding. If possible, you need to go back to Windows 10. Unfortunately, for me it is irreversible.

Nothing wrong with win 11! Might want to get a new copy of CoursePlay . Might also try to monitor the memory usage with a hardware monitoring program.

Oddly enough, I deleted course play but having same issue so I went to download it again and cant find it in the search feature lol.

I know its not the exact same error, but it sounds like it is very similar.

I would suggest trying that.

I am not sure what we are supposed to do with the information "I can play American Truck Sim and everything else just fine." but thanks for letting us know I guess.

He did not even try my suggestions.

Different apps use and adress different memory areas, so one game can run fine while another one can crash.

Change the renderer
Open documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2022
Edit the game.xml edit line
<renderer>D3D_12</renderer>
to <renderer>D3D_11</renderer>

if this problem occurs to you do this i went through everything possible for about 6 hours after installing my new GPU and this is the only thing that worked

It happened to me, after I installed the new nvidia driver, and this modification helped to me also!
