Help Me Make It Look Nice
I recently got a new PC and thought, that means I can turn on all the things! But then it turned out the game looks worse than it did on the old PC.

Anyone with an understanding of what all the settings mean able to help me set everything in a way that'll make it look suuuuper sweet.

Specs: i7 13700 k
32 RAM
GTX 3060
SSD and a 250hz display

You may want to give a bit more information so people can offer useful advice.

Such as the video card you are running as a minimum. Also what are your current graphic settings in the game? And maybe include a screen shot...

More information always helps.

That's helpful. I mean I set all my settings up high, but it seems to look worse than it did on my old 1080 machine.

Really where it gets confusing is with Vsync and all the brand specific settings, since some disable others and others are better than some.

Nvidia uses dlss. That is a big help in games I too don’t know a lot about video settings. I just know dlss is a big help
A video card alone doesn't do much of a miracle... it needs a complete set that includes everything from the power supply, motherboard... and everything else.
Compatibility settings must be respected.
Frequency speeds and motherboard functions.
From BIOS to the game's video settings.
Operating system, free HD space... anyway...
Probably... whoever assembled your machine must have left it in a basic configuration.
But as mentioned above by a colleague... need to post more details.

Even the native display of your monitor (assuming you picked up a new one with your buy) can be helpful.

Honestly... for a relatively basic game... all I was hoping for is the player tested high end settings. Here is the dxDiag output. Hopefully that'll be enough. Don't really feel like going to BIOS to find the speed my fans spin at while at full load...

part of the problem could be that your monitor is still only a 1080p resolution monitor. Therefore you upgraded your old 1080p pc so it can run games in 1280x1440p resolution but are now bottlenecked by your monitor. try changing the ingame resolution to 1280x1440....you might see an improvement of just that.
DaddyJokee Nov 16, 2023 @ 2:36pm
I'll give that a shot. Wasn't really thinking about the native resolution on the monitor when I bought it. Just the fact it was on sale and had 250hz refresh rate... ;/
