1. did you recently add a production facility?
2. if all your productions are turned off, could it be a monthly upkeep value that is borked?
3. are your facilities auto buying materials they need to run.
4. did you do an xml edit that could have caused it.
1. I did recently add a facility from mod hub but after everything went haywire I deleted the buildings associated with the mod and uninstalled it.
2. It's very possible that the monthly upkeep is what's throwing it off... I'm not sure how to confirm that though. Seems like a solid theory though.
3. My facilities aren't auto-buying anything so it should just be the monthly maintenance cost.
4. I've never done an edit. I stared at several for a few hours earlier today but didn't modify them or save anything. From what I saw on the ones I look at, everything seemed to be good.
You wouldn't happen to know where to look to see if the monthly upkeep is setting this off, would you?
Thanks!!!
All of them worked just fine but after 1 game month I noticed the money thing and started uninstalling.
The weird thing is, it doesn't give me the on-screen text notification that I just incurred an expense. Like in the orange letters up next to the account balance. The money just disappears.
I'll take a look at the folders and see if I can't locate those mod files.
It's not common that things like this happen, but when they do. It is such a pain to revert it unless you have a backup save from before the mod was added.
Hope you're able to sort the save out and get back where you were before.
Because I really didn't understand what was going on in the XML files and didn't want to make things worse, I looked for a mod that was related to the line item that was costing me so much money, monthly.
In installed the PRODUCTION REVAMP mod and I suspect, while adjusting things on the back end for the new features (in the mod) to work, it rewrote the corrupted/adjusted values that were costing me so much money.
Thanks for your help Gage and Nasder!!
