False positive. Whitelist the game with your antivirus. Steam is not going to give you trojans.
Always assuming your game came from a legitimate source. However I don't seem to be able to find a "version.dll" in my FS22 installation. The version.dll I have is in the widows system32 folder (nothing to do with FS22) so you may want to take care....

That assumption would depend on where the game come from. If installed via Steam it is likely to be a false positive.

DLLs are only used by executables afaik, so they're not harmful in of themselves.
In other words, the FarmingSimulator2022.exe or another program linked to it (that you run) would have to be malicious as well for it be a problem.

What Antivirus software are you using, and where exactly is this "version.dll" file located on your computer?

There's a "version" file in the main game folder, but it's not a DLL. It's just a plaintext file with the game version listed in it.

Sorry but this is entirely wrong. DLL's may only be loaded dynamically and not executed directly but there the difference ends as dll's are still executable code. It's perfectly possible to create a malicious dll engineered to replace a valid one and execute its code when called by a perfectly valid application. Indeed this is how some types of root kit work.

Just google "can dll's contain viruses" if you doubt this.
