Also, there is no limit on distance between Hive and Collection Spot --- AS LONG AS they're within the same plot! Even if you own two plots, you can't "grow honey" in one and "collect" in other, they have to be within the same boundaries.
There is a mod called "More Honey Pallet Place Options" in Modhub which allows many more pallets to spawn at a time.
Around here you own "Plots", not "Farms". Your Farm is usually a unit of several Plots of land and/or forest - even if they were disconnected from each other.
So.. Honey Collecting is map-wide? Interesting!
Well, obviously you need to own any land that you want to place a beehive on but it does not matter where on the map it is.
