The only way to learn this is either the hard way by being there yourself, or have someone tell you it needs to be done.
2. I don't know which map or such you're on or if you're using any mod. So I can't really help with the contract completion thing.
The AI has been rather simple minded and dumb in FS games for a long while. There are a few tricks one can do to help the AI not be as bad on fields.
- Run a border on the field with the mower, depending on the field location and surrounding I run 1 or 2 rows with a mower around the edge, this makes the AI turn around earlier and hopefully avoid obstacles around the field
- The direction of the AI is depending on how it reaches the field. I've never told it to drive to a field and work the field, so I don't know how bad that becomes. But if you're in the tractor and line up at 180 degrees on the field, the AI will run 180 one way 360 the other. In older games there was a 45 degree "clip" meaning the AI could drive 0, 45, 90, 135, 180.... degrees (north being 0) on a field. Not sure if this has been made smaller. So line it up the way you want it to drive and it should do the trick.
Stick to fairly square fields, make borders on the field with the tool before you let an AI at it. It's sad that these things might be needed, but it's the best way to baby the AI into not doing silly and stupid things. It might still happen, just not as often.
You could download courseplay and use that mod, but that's a different beast to tackle in itself. I'd suggest you learn the basics of the game first.
3. You can change cruise control speed before you hit enable it. Simply hit 1 for lower and 2 for higher before hitting 3 to engage it. (I think these are the default keys, not sure.)
4. Open the menu (esc) and in the first tab on the right it looks like a globe. On the map view in the bottom there's a list of keys, press x for farmland. Click on the area you wish to buy with the mouse and click the spacebar to buy.
For repair shop, open the store navigate to the three lines on the list on the left. then select construction. Then you enter the construction view, from there go to the tools sub-tab. Pick the vehicle workshop and place it where you want it on the map, it will probably terraform around it, leveling ground, repainting the ground and such. So be careful with where you place it.
The solar panels might bring in 3000 per month, but might be lowered from the cost by other property which cost money to operate, that is my guess. You can check the finances tab to see the income and cost of your property.
5. You don't need a generic barn, you need an animal pen/barn/pasture. Go to the construction view as mentioned above. Select animals from the tab, then pick animal type from the sub-tab.
You can be all three, currently on my farm. I'm a forester, I take care of sheep and I grow crops. So you can do all three without problem. Just need the correct tools and buildings.
Hope this help.
I am using Elm Creek Map. I have never used any mods for any of the games I play.. I tried once to use a mod I was advise to use On Space Engineer & can no longer play to game. Re-installing did not help. So I do NOT use them. courseplay is a mod then, so I doubt that I will use it. I did the border thing around the fields & that seems to have solved my headaches. Thanks!
The sell location is the bioplant. I am writing this from the top of my head, so I might be off a little bit.
That's located east of the store location.
On the south part of that complex, there is an up-ramp and two big square areas for making silage. Infront of those (on the ramped area) there are two sell/loading points for silage. dark-green open container looking things. Unload the wrapped bales as close to the right one. This should trigger them selling and count towards the contract.
I'll try that the next time I have silage bales to sell. System crashed & I lost everything. Had over thirty bales in plastic & managed to get 6 to the silage area your mentioned. Me & the two bale loader/hauler don't get along.
Bummer, hope it sorts out.
I made a short video on where the location is, had some time to kill.

For my Ranch I have a 6 round bale hauler trailer that require a front end loader arm on my tractor that can be fitted with a bucket or a Hay spear. I can also put a back hoe on the rear of my tractor. They make my ranch life easier. But the round bale haulers come in 3, 6, or 12 bale sizes. Why can't this game do that as well?
Buying means they buy the resource.
I am checking now and farmers market do have a buying price and the animal dealer too, at least on my end.
I was able to sell hay at the animal dealer no problem on my end. I had to put the bale within the area marked by the black and yellow corner pieces and it sold. It had to be in an unloaded state, meaning not strapped down with tension belt or loaded in an autoloader.
On Farmers market, I was also able to sell it. On this place though, You need to be beside the grated area, there is an unload marker. And they need to be much lower to the ground, I was not able to sell the bales from the top of my trailer, I had to put them on the ground. Once that was done they sold no problem to me.
As far as bale trailers go, there are some pretty small ones. Some can be bought not from the bale loader section but from the trailer section. For example the very first trailer in the list. ANS-1900, if I select that from the list and then when I customize it, I change the configuration to bale trailer. You get a quite small trailer that can hold 2 round bales without stacking. No autoloading though (without mods), so you have load and unload using other tools.
Which answer a lot of my problems about hay. Hopefully its not too expensive.
However my headache still continue.
1. Had an AI worker cultivating a field next to my corn field. After finishing the field I wanted he started cultivating my corn field destroying half of the field before I caught him & could get him to stop. Finally figure out to fire him.
2. After repairing my tractor at the dealer it disappeared. I had to buy a new one, which sucked.
3. I received potato field with new game I started of Farm Manager level. I bought what I thought was a potato harvester for $9000. All the description said was potato technology. When I got to the potato field it was a planter not the harvester I wanted. The harvester cost a minimum of $129k, which I don't have. Doing all the contracts that pay over $5k. You don't make much. When I get up to a little over $100k something happens & Iam broke again. For example my fuel tank I bought & filled was empty when I went to fill my tractor that just disappeared for the first time. It was down to about half ful.l
2. I had a problem where I just pressed keys too fast and accidentally sold the equipment when at the dealer. Could this be what happened? I remember the keys being similar, like enter is sell and enter is accept. Or something like that. I am very careful with the repairshop at the dealer. The game creates backups automatically when saving. So if a tractor just vanished forwhatever reason. You can use an older save and get the tractor back, you might lose time and work, but you'll get your tractor back.
3. You have to plan and think ahead. This is hard when you're new. Because you don't really know what things cost and it's easy to think it's cheap and then you realize there's another 100K needed. This just boils down to knowing what equipment is needed to do something and look at the store what said equipment could cost and work from there. In the store page, above the vehidle/tool you're looking at, top right, there is a blue i in a circle. That gives some info about the tool and/or vehicle. For example the Grimme GL 420 tells me "These machines are used to plant potatoes." This will help you with knowing what is needed.
Not really, I don't think I've used it yet in FS22, most things I need I can either do with a mod or editing an XML file.
But I am sure you can quite easily find both how to activate the console and a list of commands that exist with some searching on the internet.
Lalbutt Bale Spike & a Fork with Grapple, but can't mate them together. I got the LM 845 in shop area. The 2 attachments don't show to be attached. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the advice above. Most of it I am doing already.
Can I edit the XMLl file to get money?
