What speed settings would make this more like FS19?
Because I'm apparently just not getting it....
I started the game the other day, I planted wheat and its some 6-7 months later to harvest. Like, there's only so many contracts to do until I start wanting to get back to my own stuff, does anyone have some way of adjusting this back to FS19 in the options?
Jeez haven't even looked yet, but can you set one day to equal multiple months?

best you can do is 1 day is a month, so much more realistic than 19 where you can sow on day 1 and harvest on day 2 or 3

I'm sure, but...what do you do while you're waiting? Just contracts, I'm guessing? Its looking like I might just need to speed up the daytime clock then, huh? Get in a contract or two and hit the hay...

i play at 5x sort my fields and animals out ...do a couple of contracts then sleep from early evening

Its an interesting aside from the normal stuff, and it seems to take a bit to get comfortable with the control you need to have over some of the machines, but it can be a lot of fun.

You do realise you have seasons turned on, so you can only plant and harvest on certain months of the year. If you turn seasons off, then you can plant/harvest more often.

no you cant, the time to harvest stays the same even if you have seasons off...you can just plant crops when you want too

Sleep

And I use 0.5 speed and one day a month, but my farm has gotten too big and I can't get everything done in one so I upped it to two days per month.

Okay, but that'd be a little impractical if you'd just started and had a single field to tend, right?
Your answer above is "sleep", but if you have your time set to .5 and two days per month, you're sure as heck doing a lot more than sleeping, I'd think. Shoot, even being on real time with 1 day per month, I'm finding myself with so much downtime that sleep is little more than a bonus way of passing by a few hours quicker.

Oh I turned it off...
At first glance, it looks like the game's time configuration is better optimized when you have multiple fields, maybe an animal pen or two? Or just love doing contract work, I suppose...which of course is fine...up to a point =]

Thanks for this, I'll have to check it out...and I have no problem at all with mods, they're often half the fun of some of the games that allow them..
