How to Get Started with Grass?

Anyone know how to get started with planting, growing, and using grass? I can't even determine what seeds to buy in the shop to get going. I'm relatively new to Farming Simulator, if it helps. If I go to the "Grass" section of the shop, it shows the appropriate vehicles and tools to get, which is great, but the in-game help, sadly, is kinda lacking when it comes to getting started with other things besides the basic crops. I'm planning on using wheat as my cash crop for a while, since it's easy and I already got all the equipment and seeds for it, but I wanna give grass a try sometime, when it's more affordable for me.

One thing to know - all seeds in the game are just seeds, there are no different types to buy just "seeds", you select what they grow when you use a seeder (or planter). Oh, and there are better cash crops that wheat - Oats are good, Soya, and Canola and they all plant and harvest with the same equipment as wheat.

Ah, is that how it works? I did not know that! Good to know. I guess I'm just used to games like Farm Together and Stardew Valley, where you buy the specific seeds of things you want to plant.

Also good to know about the other crops! I'll keep them in mind. I bought three packages of wheat seeds, so when those run out, I'll try out those other ones, too.

To get the most out of your grass make sure you fullfill all the needs of the field. Those 'needs' will show up when you walk on the field, it might say plowing, weeding, needs lime, rolling, whatever, do it all.

Once the grass grows all you need to do is fertilize once after each harvest. That way you get the most out of your grass

Thanks for the info! I'll keep it in mind. I think I have weeding and liming disabled (for now), but yeah, I'll be sure to maintain the field when the time comes.
