Cow farm.

I'm starting a farm with cows and I was wanting to know what the mineral feed does I'm not sure whether it's worth buying to add to the food for the cows or if it's just worth giving them hay,silage , straw?

You can use the mineral feed to make TMR. Buy a mixing wagon and fill it with the correct ratio of hay, straw, silage, & mineral feed and you will have TMR (total mixed ration). If you get the dairy barn with the feeding robot then you don't even need a mixing wagon. Just keep the barn stocked with the 4 ingredients and the robot will collect and mix them for you and deliver the TMR to the cows.
