What are your 'must have mods' for a minimally modded game?
Just curious as to what others have found are their indispensable. can't play a new game without them, mods.

So if you are starting a bare-bones limited mod game what would you have to have?

A particular 'game mechanic' mod like GPS or TerraFarm?

A particular vehicle mod? A production mod?

You get the idea.

So what are your 'minimum' required mods?

I can happily play the game with just Courseplay. Not an essential mod but when your farm gets quite large, it's helps a lot.

VCA - Vehicle Control Addon - Great for keyboard users (me) and had guidelines built in as a bonus

Better Contracts - I like to take several contracts at once.

Any other contract addons - e.g. lime, pick up stone, pick up straw - why these not in base?

Real Dirt - love to see dirty tractors, in the colour of the field they are working on...

CSZ Pack - just the best tools pack in the game...

Steel Object & Object Storage Sheds - somewhere to put all those bales & Pallets :)

But the main question back to OP, What are YOUR go to mods?

I have to agree with Better Contracts. Lumberjack and Easy Development are super useful too (Lumberjack for chainsawing stumps and super strength, Easy Development for a lot of things (like "giving" the shop a forklift or telehandler without having to use your own money).

I presume you are asking about SP gaming.
1. GPS.
2. Fast Baler or Wagon to collect Grass/Straw.
3. Green house pack (open air).
4. Animal Feed factory (to make animal food).
5. Auto-load Trailers.
6. Farming Pack (My own mod of many vehicles for normal farming with slightly faster work speed, colour choices, and capacities etc).
7. Grape & Olive Pack (My own mod for Grape and Olive farming with slightly faster work speed, colour choices, and capacities etc).
8. Large capacity Silos (Additional Fruits too).

Equestrian equity if you wanna make any money of horses, horseman (for when you don't want to ride every horse everyday/ pay someone else to do it), lease to own (a better system then the default rent one), enhanced animal system (more than one baby when your animals mature and mate), Precision farming and AGI pack

VCA - Vehicle Control Addon
I agree. VCA mod is far better than the simplified GPS mod everyone seems to love

Thanks, I tried the GPS mod, and it was just too fiddly to setup, drive, place A, drive Place marker B. VCA guidelines is awesome and easy to use. But each to their own. And thats not to mention the keyboard driving side of it which I love.

VCA, by far, huge game changer imo..

It (optinal) stops the front loaders and wood harvesters from snapping back to centre when letting go of the controller when turning, definitely my favourite feature of it, but this mod does a lot! Feels like I've wasted time playing FS17 and FS19 without it, and I'm really disappointed by the fact that Giants hasn't offered this as an option in their games yet..

Also WoodharvesterControl mod if you like logging, great and easy to use mod that is realistic.

Mods I have on all the time (apart from EDT)

Lumberjack
I mean who doesn't?

Better Contracts / Contracts +
This just makes it a little more interesting, and I like the new difficulty settings it has added

VIP Contracts
Gives me something to work towards when not sure what to do

Field Auction
Always nice to grab a random field at a cheaper price

Vehicle Sales Customiser
Its nice to have more stuff on offer and at slightly better discounts

Is the VCA everyone is noting the one by Mogi? If so where is the best place to upload the most current version?

And I thought I had heard of another contract mod that actually asked the player to make commodity deliveries and such; anyone know of such a mod off-hand?

Yes the VCA mod is by Mogi - I assume the mod hub has the latest, though not sure. - you could check out the github page - https://github.com/Mogli12/VehicleControlAddon

The other contract one I can think of is called "Supply & transport" or something like that.
