yeah, im aware of the problem. Its either you sit around and watch grass grow in real time waiting on the other farms to get online or you skip time and they get screwed over. Both are terrible options if you dont all want to share a farm.
"A mod to freeze other peoples farms and finances is the only solution"
I turned off crop withering, but we just moved onto other games.
Multiplayer is a disaster if you approach it casually. And if you take it super seriously it stops being fun.
then play solo then you can do what ever you like.
and multiplayer is not broken is just that ppl dont understand how it works and why it takes time.
Then a couple of them make their own farm just to do smaller greenhouses and chickens/bees etc, time advances and all the fields withered and were wasted when we came back on later.
I can't believe this actually got playtested at all or they'd have found this problem and thought of a workaround. It's totally broken.
lol I understand exactly how it works. You have to watch grass grow in real time when others arent on or their fields arent ready yet.
It turns into you logging on once a day to get your fields ready, then just go play something else until everyone else is ready. It is in fact a terribly broken system for multiplayer unless you play on the same farm.
Some people prepare a field, sew it fertilise it etc, and then log off.
Some other people make a separate farm and do their own thing with greenhouses or whatever.
While they're playing on their own farm, the first farm crops grow, become harvestable, then wither.
Even with withering disabled, time advancing on the farm means you now missed the planting season for a different crop and other stuff, or the harvesting season for something else.
Do you follow?
Yes it is the games fault, its a terrible system and is broken with multiple farms. I cant skip ahead without screwing other players over. Not everyone is on the same schedule and even if they log off with all their fields planted and I skip ahead they still miss out on spraying with herbicide and their second dose of fertilizer.
Your solution is to just not skip ahead and wait? Maybe the others cant get on every single day? So I guess none of us play until they get back?
This is a post about multiplayer and having multiple farms.... why would you suggest I go play single player? lol Obviously I could go play single player. Stop trying to just defend it blindly, cause thats what you are doing.
No thanks, I like progression in a game.

here is how i run the server and this is on the first farm :) open the second farm later stuff takes time and one day is one month thats how we sett the server up and it works just fine.
you play how you want this is why i love this game so much.
Gotta love people that text for no reason but to take up space. " Recent activity ...last played feb 12 2022 farming sim 23." Must be the new games the kiddie group moved on to ?
