FS19 Platinum works just fine. You are not rimworld.

all they do is miss out on lots of sales the entire year from people who would otherwise buy
but it's their business after all, and it's my money. less than 50% and you won't see a dime from me. keep it :)

i specifically came here because i knew since last steam sale that they will pull this shenanigans off during christmas

players will put their money where the sale is
they are missing on a lot of potential, but who am I to tell them that? they know better!
I'm gonna go buy me some heavily discounted stuff instead :)

I don't get it, there are many many poor discounts in the Steam Winter Sale. So many very greedy publishers out there. Its like a few days before Christmas. Where is the love??? C'mon!

I felt even worse when I looked at like Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC not on sale AT ALL either. Haha.


Edit: Whooooops....lol I just happened to click on the Malta expansion, but the others are.

I can't believe companies won't discount for a CHRISTMAS sale for the kids man....for the kids....

what makes it worse is brands have to pay to get into farming sim and they turn and giants turn around and sell that brand to us making two rounds of profit off of a couple of tractors that were mods in the previous games

You know honestly, now that you say that...I could see John Deere being the SOLE reason this never goes on sale. They are like Ferrari and never want you to touch their stuff even in games. I know Toyota was notorious for that behavior when it came to street racing games too. Maybe it was honda.

Same here. I havent bought from a christmas sale on steam in probably 3 years now. The sales are garbage and have been for a while. Im not paying $8+ for a 5 year old game. They want to do that then more power to them. I just dont buy a game till it breaks the 80% off threshold and its under $5.

Im surprised the sale isnt more for these games that have been out for more than a year. Most of my wish list with games in the 75 - 90% off price range are games between 5 and 10 years old and some of them are still way too damn high for their age.

That's kind of insulting honestly. While businesses are in business to make money there does come a time when they become to greedy. A game like this MAY come out ahead, but i'm sure it probably won't happen again when they try to roll out the next FS game. JW I can kind of expect since the IP is ultimately owned by a film company i.e. Universal.

Also keep in mind the majority of gamers are 20-40 years old.

look at it this way, i want to buy a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. you know how much they want for that? 350,000!!!!!

350,000!! for a car!!!!!

do they really need that much per car? nah. they can afford to lower it to 1$. asking anymore for it is really quite greedy i think you can agree. but do they care? nupe.

do the people who buy it care? nupe.

does me whining about it on steam boards going to change their asking price? nupe

does me boycotting buying the car going to force them to lower the price nupe.'

Also, NO ONE whines about a Merc SLR being 350,000...considering you're buying a car with 700 hp and as long as you change the oil and tires you could trash the crap out of it for 100,000+ miles without major mechanical difficulties.

I obviously wouldn't drive my 2014 Kia Forte EX the same way, (but I do....I even went through the engine recall when I was racing around in it and spun the rod bearing on the #2 cylinder.) But I bet if driven hard that Kia would fail LONG before the Mercedes. Two entirely different things.

I guess what i'm saying is now you're trying to compare FS22 (as a program/software and is $40) to something like...the full package of 3D Studio Max (as a program/software and is or was upwards of $2000).

Way to compare apples and oranges. Comparing a sports car to a video game.

They sell it for that much cause idiots still pay that much for those cars. Yet there are never that many of those cars sold the huge majority of the vehicles sold are your run of the mill sub $100,000 vehicles.

This game would not be at this price if there was competition for them, the fact that they have a monopoly means they can price it what they want you either pay it or not. The fact that it would be less if they had competition is a clear sign this game is being price gouged.

Not to mention the SLR is not the only vehicle on the market you have choices for said game as they do not hold the monopoly on cars. This game how ever is a monopoly as no one else has a comparable farming simulator game which allows them to price gouge the ♥♥♥♥ out of you cause you have no other options.

Generally speaking, when a game developer or studio doesn't put a game on sale, it means they're moving plenty of copies without the need to put it on sale. Either buy the game or don't; the developer/studio will do fine either way.
