I Have seen ppl use the Thrustmaster T. 16000M FCS Duo.
I have them my self just dont have them plugged in atm

T.16000 as well…. I have a pair.
I’ve done a ton of logging with FDR logging mods. He’s even got custom keybinds for his equipment.

I’m trying to setup my sticks for the DLC equipment but having some issues.

As a matter of fact I just posted something about it earlier today.

Makes logging so much more enjoyable …using mouse and kb is terrible in my opinion.

VKB Gladiators. They're great.

I have a Logitech 3d pro and the farm sim side panel with a g29 wheel. Makes using the logging gear so much easier. Especially for loading with the excavator

For sure that logitech G side panel is the way to go. I was rubbish with the keyboard mouse loading logs or harvesting them. Now it's a snap. Worth the money to buy the side panel.

I don't: After hundreds of hours vanilla, I finally changed the key bindings on my xbox controller to simulate dual joysticks, and I've had a blast logging and loading last couple of days. Game changer. -Made a post about this an hour ago, so won't go on full rant of how disappointed I am that Giants doesn't offer players that use analogue controllers a better experience when using boom operated vehicles, -But I can't stress enough how much better my experience got with the "dual joysticks" setup..

I've been looking into buying real dual joysticks, but the urge has settled a bit after the great rebinding. It's definitely been postponed a bit, though I'm sure dual joysticks makes the game even better than I'm experiencing now.

For those who still use analogue controllers, I can't recommend this change enough.

I use a controller aswell to simulate double joysticks. So much better than keyboard and mouse. But my struggle is the physics, logs crawling out of my grapple. As much as I want to enjoy doing logging and using all the new tools in the expansion. I just end up using a frontloader and log-fork because it's the least frustrating way to load logs for me.

Yes, I use the Thrustmaster T.16000M pair. I highly recommend it if you’re going to logging full time, once you iron out the keybinds it’s a breeze. I can link a video if you need help setting them up

I've really enjoyed the Volvo 380 with the grapple, it's definitely been my favourite vehicle after rebinding. Grapple getting stuck in the open position is the biggest issue for me.
I'm using a modded square concrete block with a ramp that I drive up to keep the excavator elevated a bit when loading.

How have you bound the driving bit vs "dual joysticks"?
I have everything driving related bound to R1/RB, so I have to hold this button down to steer direction, speed and camera, while the "dual joysticks" works without needing to hold down anything else. Wood harvesters and excavators are really comfortable to work with, while driving is not. Kinda the opposite of vanilla controls.

Wish it was possible to key bind certain vehicles differently, as I have no need for the "dual joystick" setup when driving trucks, cars, tractors, wheel loaders, etc. etc. I guess it should be possible as a mod, but I have no idea. If anyone knows of something, please let me know.

Hey i know im a litle late tho the party, but i rencently i have been adicted to FS 22 and forestry things, but playing on M/K is completly trash i have a Xbox controler but i cant find any toturial how to set de controls, my idea was to use the controler to move hidraylics/booms and use the keyboard to move the machine.

Hi,

Here's a link to another discussion where I try to explain my setup: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1248130/discussions/0/3543798390533571964/

I don't have the game installed atm, but let me know if anything is unclear.. The gist is to rebind so that you have to hold R1 when driving, but don't have to hold anything when operating the boom.

Here's another post about mods; strongly recommend VCA and the wood harvester control mod.

Yep I use a gamepad too, I did buy one in fact just for this game bc using anything driveable (regardless of type) with K+M felt unprecise and sluggish ... all in all just bad.
I did'nt go for a wheel or joystick bc of the limited use cases (type of games I play) combined with a pretty steep price if you want something halfway good.

i use my 15 year old MS FFB2 only for DCS Flight Sim or Truck Simulator using the twíst for steering; fine enough.

But FS22 i like the controller most; they mapped it perfectly fine , imo !
