transferring to a new computer
After getting fed up with my current machine BARELY being able to run most games, I decided to order a custom rig. Well, while I wait, I've been getting as much ready as I can for it's arrival (ordered it with an Intel 13900K...THEN foud out the chip wouldn't ship until TODAY, adding extra time...OOPS!) . When it comes to moving FS22, I know I need to put steam on the new box, and them download the millions of stuffs, but do my installed mods transfer that way? And my farm(s)? Or is there a folder somewhere that has the farms and installed mods that I can copy to a thumb drive and move over that way? This question isn't time critical, but I'd like to get a head start on the panic and hassle of setting up the new machine.

CHEERS!

Yes copy the FarminSimulator2022 folder from your Documents - My Games. That contains all the settings, saved game and mods folder.

be default, mods are stored in \Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022\mods\ and saves are in \Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022\ in subfolders corresponding to the save slot in game (savegame1, savegame2, etc). if you copy those over to the new computer you should be good. if you have steam cloud enabled, you shouldn't have to copy the save games since it should do so automatically, but you will have to copy mods or download them again.

edit: willow rivers' suggestion is an easy option!

Nah, I disabled Steam saves long ago (I had reasons, trust me...I just don't remember them)

However, I know the folders you're referring to. I had just forgotten them. When the time comes, I'll just grab that and be good.

Thanks for the answers, and CHEERS!
