What's the point of alfalfa?
Trying out Stone Valley and I see I can do alfalfa. Looks like it sells for the same price as hay. Does it regrow itself like grass? Is there any benefit to it?

Cattle feed, it's own mostly for that. Most farmers here in Illinois and usually get around three cuts off of it before they have to replant.

Never played that mod but sounds like it’s high yield and may regrow exactly like sugarcane

Yeah I understand what it does in real life, wasn't sure what the benefit was in game. I did find somewhere that says it regrows. So I planted some next to some grass and we'll see what happens. Some stuff says you can't make sileage with it.

Nah, you can't make silage with it. You can feed it to your cows either as "fresh cut alfalfa" or you can drag a tedder over it to make "alfalfa hay" and feed that to them. I doubt there's a huge nutritional difference between alfalfa and grass. I think you just get a higher yield.
