They dropped the ball on that one. I don't think I've seen snow stick around longer for a few ingame hours. Even on 3 day seasons, which I play on, it's gone far too fast. It never makes it through an entire day, let alone a few hours of the day.

In seasons (the mod for FS19) snow would stick around longer and be in the way for things during the winter. So you had a reason to clear snow of some roads and areas. Especially when it wouldn't clear up every day, so after a few days you'd have a nice layer of snow covering everything.

Right now, snow-equipment for me is more like an roleplaying element than anything else. I almost have to rush to get to use any of them before the snow clears up.
Depends on the map. For example in Chellington Valley can be snowy for most of the winter. Then you can use the snow equipment. Of course snow does not cause any real problems apart from no being able to work the land.

As Nasdar said, with Seasons in FS19 snow was much more realistic and problematic. In fs22 you don't even leave tracks in it :-(

Well, the plows have been a huge help for me when I'm playing on elk mountain, a good price for my silage comes up, there happens to be 3 feet of snow on the ground, and my farm is located miles down a back road.

On the flipside, never once needed to clear snow on the vanilla maps.

it depends on the map.

Yes you need 3+ days per month to see it which in turn slows the game progression down to a crawl

I do 5 days per month. Been thinking to increase it. But ya it can make it seem very slow... And on a couple maps i have seen snow. And my tractors seemed to have trouble with traction.
