Stuttering on a good system?
So I started playing on my 1080, perfectly fine, bought a new 3080 system and am now stuttering on the game, even after turning down/off various settings. Happens multiple times a minute, particular when changing camera view or even panning the camera around a tractor. Quite frustrating

Does it still happen after you have played for 5 or 10 minutes? Could just be the shader cache being built. If you still get it after several minutes of playing try turning off VSync.

Yup that sounds like your issue to me, a very common one that gets posted about 15 times a day.

more like flexing with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3060-70-80-90 go wrong ...
Imagine a 45€ Office card runs better then a 800€ chunk of crap.

Wasn't a flex at all mate, simply stating what I had and why I thought it strange. I don't have some superiority complex

So which was the problem? Did it just go away after a while or did you turn off VSync?

Went away, spent just under 10 before I posted and relaunched and it was better in a couple minutes. However I came back and weirdly enough when in cab view looking to the right made my screen flash. But original issue was fixed

The game is just garbage on performance don't listen to any of these idiots it runs the same for everyone on any system . like crap . the game was not tested properly by giants and after a year they have no idea how to fix it .

Has never stuttered for me and I only have a 1060. Game looks and runs fine.

Im getting this issue now on a 4060 ti 16gig. i thought it was game files but im still looking to see what the issue is

The game can stutter for several minutes while it rebuilds its shader cache file. Game updates can cause it. Changing video options can cause it. Just walk or drive around the map until it goes away.

Seriously guys this is a known issue Giants used to say when they released a major patch that some performance issues may arise while the game re-writes the shader cache.

If I had a dollar for each person who comes on here with some "high end spec" PC with stuttering issues that can play whatever AAA game with no problems at all.. I will be able to afford the game and all expansions again - without any discounts.

I have been playing flawlessly for over 1000 hours.. the game has a known issue there isn't anything Giants can do about it, it is designed to reduce load on your system, its just has a small downfall.. that it will cause stuttering while it writes the cache.. once it is done it is done.

The only other option is, is to have the shader cache write during the loading of the map, but as I have said on multiple posts just like this.. all you will get is a load of posts saying "game hangs at x% while loading map.. what gives!!!"

There is no way around this, you just have to just deal with it for a little bit, changing graphic settings won't do anything, its just something you have to do...

Once it is done, the game will run smoothly there on out, unless the shader cache gets deleted.. where it will happen all over again.

Its not a bug... its a feature.

Well, since Giants build the engine themself, i would think that they should be able to do something about that known issue.

there is´nt a issue; depending on your PC the time for cache load vary. Mine runs smooth after a few seconds; depending on map and how it is filled up with things.
10-30sec max.

I find this much better than other games which run smooth but suddenly you got a micro stutter; this does not happen in FS22 and i like it !

They could release pre-defined shaders and then the first minutes of shader creation could be spared but then the game would run a bit worse....like all other games do.

Performancewise it´s always best to let the shaders individually be calculated.

Can you tell me what other games build a shader cache locally? More specifically, can you tell me what other games build shader caches locally and require the player to experience significant lag / stuttering for the first several minutes of gameplay?

Asking because I am completely dumbfounded why you and "Duke Dudeston" think this is a feature lmao
