Grain Mill: worth owning?
Hello-
I bought a grain mill (vanilla/SP game), and I'm not sure if I like it! It produces a lot of pallets of flour, which are a pain to load with a pallet fork onto a flat bed trailer.

I realize I could sell them on the spot, but would have to pay a hefty fee for that.

There also are probably mods which could help me out, like a pallet loading trailer, or reduced fees for direct selling.

Or I could just sell the grain mill and try something else... Just wanted to see what ya'll thought about this.

think of the grain mill as a middle man, selling flour isnt nearly as profitable as selling bread.

Make your next purchase the bakery and set the grain mill too distribution, then you just unload there and the flour turns up at the bakery

Thanks Dan; there isn't a fee for distribution to the bakery?

Wouldn't I have to provide all kinds of ingredients to the bakery, like eggs, strawberries, sugar and butter?

Later: I looked at a vid on YT which said, for bread, you only need the flour.

I think there is a fee for the distribution, but how much i don't know.
The loading with a forklift is tedious, but there is the autoload mod on the modhub, with makes is much easier. And no need to invest in forklifts.

Yeah, I figured there was a mod. Thanks.

distributing from one production you own to another is free. only selling it directly from a production costs you some profit.

be aware the bakery produces a lot slower than the grain mill so you will either have a ton of extra flour to sell, or you can build another bakery, or you can just produce flour intermittently instead of constantly sending grain to the mill.

I see, thanks.

Right now I am not producing enough grain to keep the grain mill operating very much anyway.
