At the current time, FS 22 doesn't have an option for making crops grow faster like there was in FS 19. I do hope that the developers might implement this in FS 22 though for those of us who don't use the Seasons setting.
growth times...
4 Months - Oats, Sorghum
5 Months Potatoes, Grapes, Olives
6 Months - Barley, Soybeans, Corn
7 Months - Wheat, Sunflowers, Sugar-beets, Sugarcane
8 Months - Canola, Cotton
12 Months - Poplar
What about those playing on harrd Start From Scratch that do not have a farm house yet.
Not eveyone plays on easy with a setup farm house or cheat money.
Everyone is trying to play this like FS19.... In FS22 the Production system is a HUGE part and Benefit. in between fieldwork you should be making sure to move finished products between the production steps. You get far more money also then for just selling the raw crop materials.
Sure you start on Start From Scratch hard economy where you get $500,000 total to start and NOTHING esle and see if you can setup a production chain off the bat.
I know there is other things you can do but at the start there is not until you can get money to setup productions and animals and such.
I wanted to play on this difficulty as well, but not being able to afford a farmhouse right away is a real game killer.
Canola takes 11 months
