Sorry if this was said but on the option you can make the field grow slow med or fast

At the current time, FS 22 doesn't have an option for making crops grow faster like there was in FS 19. I do hope that the developers might implement this in FS 22 though for those of us who don't use the Seasons setting.

Do yourself a favor and invest early in a production chain so you have something to do other than contracts. On the first map, I bought the Grain Mill for $96k and field 11 right underneath it. Then I bought the Bakery for $55k. The field grows grain that goes to the Grain Mill that turns it into flower. Flour goes to bakery to make bread and bread goes to market for ~$3k a pallet. It's a decent sustained income to help pass the time between grows. And production accelerates with time acceleration so while you're fast forwarding to make the crops grow, you can stop every once in a while to move pallets around. Once you have lots of production lines I can imagine you could spend your entire time just managing logistics.

I just found out after loading a save where I had built a farm house, you can go to the farmhouse and sleep until the next day.

Whatever you do, just never set days in month more than "1"

You can also turn on the radio and dance around one of your parking lots using WASD/Mouse. That helps pass the time.

You all do know you can turn off seasonal growth right? then you won't have to wait all year for it to grow?

And you do know its not that it takes a season to grow. its that it takes more then a day to grow for them? Personally I love seasons. But I do also understand that some people played the game with fast grow rates to the point where they could harvest everyday. IE you would plant and harvest the same field in the same day.

When all you're doing is preparing a field, planting the stuff in it, and fertilizing/weeding.. well, all that's left is to sit and wait for it to grow.

In general, especially early on, most people will just be doing the one thing.

Having hour long wait times while your crops grow, after you've finished all the work necessary.. well, that sucks. In earlier FS games a crop would grow in an afternoon basically. Half a day or so would do it, so speeding up time meant a few minutes of waiting for the crop to grow.

Now, crop growth times are something like 12 times as long in terms of real world time. That's not exactly an awesome change.

There is no hour long wait. Sow your fields, and then go to farm house, and press R. It lets you to sleep till next month. You can sleep anytime, so as soon as you wake, press R again to skip to next month.
Repeat a few times, and your crops are ready!

What about those playing on harrd Start From Scratch that do not have a farm house yet.

Not eveyone plays on easy with a setup farm house or cheat money.

Everyone is trying to play this like FS19.... In FS22 the Production system is a HUGE part and Benefit. in between fieldwork you should be making sure to move finished products between the production steps. You get far more money also then for just selling the raw crop materials.

Sure you start on Start From Scratch hard economy where you get $500,000 total to start and NOTHING esle and see if you can setup a production chain off the bat.

I know there is other things you can do but at the start there is not until you can get money to setup productions and animals and such.

I wanted to play on this difficulty as well, but not being able to afford a farmhouse right away is a real game killer.
