Moving the location of mods
Hello everybody,

despite the issues i faced at launch yesterday i want to throw in a different question today.
I'm trying to move the location of the Mods folder away from my C drive. I tried putting the path into the "gamesettings" XML. In previous versions this worked for me but this time - first FS i own on Steam - it just reverts the file back to normal.

Any Ideas?

Cheers!

Make sure <modsDirectoryOverride active="true" is set to to true
directory="Insert new folder address in here"/> and it should be all done

That's exactly what i've done yesterday.
But i'll give it another try later on, maybe it'll work.

Should do that's exactly what I've done and it works for me. I even posted a video here on Steam in the videos section, showing quite a few changes you can make to your game and gamesettings.xml to enable additional settings and features in the game.

Definitely the line: <modsDirectoryOverride active="true" directory="INSERTFOLDERLOCATION"/> still works in FS22.

It does work now, although with a very slight trick.
I tried it two more times, it just reset the file every time.
But marking the file as "read only" solves that and i can use my mod folder on another drive now. I think i should be fine with that.

Cheers!
