Are Roosters requiered?
So, starting out my farm in hopes of just being a chicken farm, maybe branch into horses later. But, my dumb question is weather I actually have to have a rooster to have the hens reproduce, or can I go without them and I assume sell any I get when they are worth something?

Also, is it a bug that all the animals start at 0% health, it's certainly very alarming when looking in the menu at them the first time. It makes me worried I'm doing something wrong and they're immediately going to die or something.

On another note, I assume I can feed them on 100% wheat and still keep 100% productivity, or do I have to do like Pigs/Cows and have some kind of actual mix ratio between Wheat / Barley / Sorghum?

If you want the chickens to breed, you must have a Rooster.

Sounds like a bug. They should start at 100% health. You may want to report that. Doesn't seem right.

While I have not gotten chickens yet, it should be fine to just feed them one type of grain. I or someone else will chime in if we find out different.

Happy Farming.

One kind of grain works just fine, and as for the health status, they do go up to 100 eventually, it just took some time.

Roosters are not required except in reality. In game, they aren't required.

As far as I undrestand, roosters are grown for meat. They are not required for breeding.
