mineral feed for cow TMR?

Any benefit from including mineral feed in cow TMR (total mixed ration). Mineral feed is more expensive than silage and hay bales and is not required to make TMR.

sry, I don't know... but can you tell me how you put it in the mixer??? (I've got a self driving mixer)
I tried to let the mixer "grab it" by holding the "snorkel" over the palette, tried to take single bags (no option there (PC version)) and nothing worked. Then I've put the whole palette in the mixing tank with the tractor. But it stays in there as whole and does not count to the mixed ration in the overview with F1..

I understand that you have to buy an extra option for example on the loading trailer, if you want to use Bonsilage - but haven't found an option for mineral feed on food mixers...

So how can I add it in the first place?

I use it for hay heaps, too... but how to put mineral feed into the mixers??

use the pallet fork for your tractor and hold it over

thx... has the mixer to be empty for that? Because I did this, but there was already TMR inside... I held it over the mixing tank, but nothing happened... :/

it works have done so many times dont hold to far up

found the solution. had to park the tractor with the pallett and drive with the mixer next to it... have to sit in the mixer then

Love to know if you have any benefit adding mineral to your tmr? I find the results were the same without the mineral added on production and cow health.
