No sound when watching Netflix.
Basically the title. When I have netflix playing in the netflix windows app I dont have any game sound. If I pause netflix the game sound works fine. Anyone else having this issue or have a fix for it?

I had no sound at all, even when starting the game. I came across this post. I have my Groove player playing at a low volume to keep my bluetooth headphones awake. I paused playback and hey presto I now have game sound! If I resume playback of groove player, the in game sounds stop.

Bit of an odd request but i got the recommendation that if you play with a controller, make sure you tab back into the game. Controller inputs might be hard wired to the game so you can still control the game while not having it as an active window and some OS settings may mute "other media" while you play the game.

Was not using a controller, just keyboard and mouse. Also tabbing in and out without the media playing did not have any effect on the audio.

Having the same issue. Netflix and Windows Media Player.

Double checked to make sure that applications could not take control of audio devices. So not entirely sure what is causing this.

1.Open sounds window
2.select playback devices
3.select your device
4.Select advance settings
5.uncheck - allow apps to take exclusive contol of devic
6.uncheck give exclusive mode application pirority
7.press apply and ok
and then try

So far I've tried:

- Reinstalling audio drivers (latest).
- Disabling all other audio devices.
- Removing my Oculus Quest 2.
- Different audio settings: 16, 24, 32bit, at 48, 96, 176 and 192k.
- Disable Fullscreen Optimisations
- Enable Run as Administrator.

Ive scoured Windows 10s settings to see if there is any sort of audio-focus settings, but the ones I have found are disabled (Also other games have zero issue).

So Im at a loss.

Had this issue with the Groove Media Player or whatever came default on Win 10. No audio with something playing, audio is fine with the music paused. Switched to WMP and its fine so far.

Are you sure the volume is off and not just very low? When I'm using spotify it almost drowns out everything but i still hear the engine very faintly

i even went as far as streaming my game in discord last night and when i play a show on hulu the person watching my stream loses sound too but comes right back if i pause. so its not a low sound issue
Had the same issue when playing a mp4 file in the background/on the other monitor. Definitly tabbed back into the game.

Same issue when playing Spotify.

Things I tried that didn't work
* Cycling volume off an on in the game
* Changing audio output whilst in the game (via Windows)
* Restarting FS
* Restarting FS after stopping audio playback from Spotify

Things I tried that did work
* Stopping FS, stopping audio playback and shutting down Spotify (if you try to repeat this make sure Spotify is not still running in the task tray) and then restart FS.

Other observations
* Starting FS before playing anything in Spotify seems to work as expected with both applications being audible whilst in FS.

Audio devices I was able to reproduce this on
* Steelseries Arctis 7 (Game/Chat)
* Audio Engine HD2
