You are trolling, aren't you?
Pressing escape will lead into the general menu of the ongoing save file, not giving the option to return to the main menu (start up menu, splash screen).
Same button will just close FS22
Nope, this indeed closes the game, as said several times already (although I wasn't that clear which 'Exit' button I ment earlier)
Yeah figured as much by now, funny and quite strange indeed, guess I'll re-name the thread then :D
Uninstalling the mod works fine and the game reboots as its suppose to after leaving the mods menu. The game exits properly as well...pretty displeased with FS22 so far. There's alot of stuff removed from FS19, and only a few small enhancements.
Perhaps it has something to do with where our games are located on our drives and/or type of storage device being used?
[Stuff Below unrelated and me just griping.]
Not to mention half of the farm yards being completely unusable because permanent structure you cant delete exist and arent interactable
I posted on reddit, and sent in a bug report. After extensive testing its not "technically" related to mods. Giants uses a 'soft restart' script when exiting the mod menu and exiting from in-game. There is an error related to mouse inputs when clicking to restart/exit to main menu. If you use only keyboard inputs or controller it doesnt happen.
It doesnt matter which mod or how many mods you have. If you have any user created mod in your modlist, the 'soft restart' script fails due to a mouse input error.
If anyone is interested here is my reddit post from discovering the bug to diagnosing it along with a fresh error log proving the issue:
