Has anyone gotten a map to load with <foliageViewDistanceCoeff> set at 4 or above? I've gotten it to load at 3.8 but anything above that and I can't load into a map.

Also for some reason my ground textures seem to be using low quality lods a short distance from the camera. I've tried every game.xml edit I can think of to push it out but nothing seems to change it. The weird thing about it is that it was not like this before. I used to not be able to even see the lods as they were far enough out to be unnoticeable. It breaks the immersion and I'm having trouble keeping interest with it looking as-is. I've driven myself to frustration trying to tweak every setting I can come up with. I have no issues with fps at any values.

Simply put, foliage distance needs a massive boost and my ground textures looked much better at a distance before, but suddenly they are low quality lod's right in my face. I've uninstalled the game and deleted everything farming sim 22 related before reinstalling with no change.

Side note, does anyone have a complete list of the game.xml commands?

I dont think it is possible to go to 4 with it. and honestly there is no reason to go above 3. At 3 the circle totally dissapears. so i dont know why you would want to go any higher.

You can change
<openDevConsole onWarnings="false" onErrors="false"/> To "true" and when the game launches or has an error you will see the log screen and it will show any warnings or errors.

I can absolutely see the circle at 3, so either my game is borked or I have a weather eye. I know that in 19 you could go to 8 or whatever was needed, from what I've read. I'll see if I can grab a screenshot later on and show what I'm seeing.

While I don't notice any difference with the other lod coefficients from 3 all the way to 10 I still have a circle of death for foliage maybe 100 - 150 yards out, and a circle maybe half that distance where ground textures are horribly smeared, but only ground textures. Those on buildings and other objects look fine at whatever distance. It is odd to say the least.

I've been bringing up the log screen after loading and looking through it, as well as the log txt after closing the game.

Here is a link to a couple screens, one is with the foliage at 3 and the other is 3.5 You can see how the ground texture is smeary where the circle starts, but on a field that has been harvested the smearing starts at about half that distance.

I added a couple more screens, same link

What an appropriate username.

lol, nice. I'm not whinging about the game, there is a literal issue here that needs resolving. Good zing though, made me laugh

Side note, has anyone seen this warning in their log before?

Warning (performance): Foliage lod 1 mesh 'meadow' 'cut' 'cut' is much larger than lod 0 mesh (min/maxY (-0.175/0.082 vs -0.125/0.103).

Maybe that is the problem.

It is not a triple A game. The devs set the price at triple A game. The graphics are cheap and dated. The only fun is driving tractors. Enjoy driving tractors.

I'm not complaining about the graphics. I am experiencing a bug that is locking the render distance and lod's. It should be obvious from the hours I've put in that I like this game. I merely wish for any further time spent playing to be as enjoyable.

Before bothering the devs with a bug report or a support ticket I felt that reaching out to the community to see if anyone had a solution would be more prudent.

Personally I do not feel the graphics are cheap and dated. Before I started having this issue the game appeared near photo-realistic at times. The game has several flaws, but I don't believe the graphics are one of them.

I appreciate your suggestion, but at full wack the game is using only 10-11% of my cpu, 10% of my ram, and 50-70% gpu

Hey mate I'm also experiencing the same issues. My grass and ground textures/lods are really crappy even with all my settings on high. Like you, it never used to do this. I also uninstalled and reinstalled that didn't help either. Found that starting a new save game loaded the lods as they should however after a few saves and progress the textures and Lods went crappy again. Have you figured out what the problem might be? There's basically no one with any information on this aside from this thread.

bump. i have the same issue and the same error in the log
