Whats your joystick setup?
I've got the FS wheel and sidepanel but I really do want a second joystick since that's how they operate irl. Any ideas of a worthy small joystick without a trillion of functions ?

Thrustmaster T16000m is a great option. it has a bunch of buttons on the base if you need extras, it can be switched for left or right handed use. The only problem is finding one...

There ya go. If it is within your means, I would HIGHLy reccomend getting 2 Especially if you like logging. They are not cheap but are a pretty good controller.

How about a second sidepanel.
I tried using a stick, but it ended up being kind of awkward.
Then they had a sidepanel on sale here, so i decided to buy another one. Works like a charm. And I get double sets of switches too.
And on FS, you can't have too many switches :steamhappy:
So I even decided to get a Razor Tartarus game "pad" too.

Just make sure you get the one produced by Logitech and not the crappy Saitek one. I have one of each and guess wich one I've had to repair?
I thought about getting a 2nd panel actually but I have limited space on my table so I can't really fit another table and my house is out of rooms so I can't move the computer either 😂

I second the tm16000. I have a pair I used for logging in fs19. I haven’t logged in Fs22 yet.

I was thinking about setting one up for Fs22. Just not sure how to setup controls to mimic real life. Haven’t done much research though.

I played about 10 hours before i realized i can use my joystick to control stuff. It's a little awkward trying to figure out which buttons control what but once you make it work, using a forklift or telehandler or whatever becomes easier

I have this joystick and i just have the axis and the hat switch bound for using attachments and it's great. One hand on my wheel and the other on my stick. It makes me want to buy a wheel spinner knob. Drop the fallout soundtrack in the background and you've got yourself some ambience

If you're interested i can tell you how it's setup irl :) I've never driven a scorpion though, but I have driven the buffalo

My main flight stick is a gx56 which is obviously overkill, but my secondary is this little guy:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009OY9U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

its not the best but just for doing field work its all I really need. It is right handed, but honestly I barely notice while using it in this context.

FDR logging has a youtube video on how he has his set up with duel joystick that may be some help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho4-xxl31o8

Just for clarification, that is focused on his mods, Not base game machines. The base game controls are funky, with inverted axis' and setings that are not very intuitive.

maybe your right im not sure i dont have a joystick, but i have changed all the inverted controls to work how they should, at the very least it will give an idea on the changes to make and is about the only video i have seen to do with joysticks,

as far as based on his machines he only has a couple for fs22 so they must cross over to others as well but who am i to argue maybe i should just stop trying to help people

by the way i never said it would be the answer i said it may be some help

I am sorry, I did not mean that it wasn;t helpful. I just wanted to mention that he makes his own custom settings for his machines just because the settings in the game are based on different control layouts. It is definately a good idea and it is a good video to see the controls setup.
I just wanted to help avoid confusion if someone does not see the same control settings in the base game.

I actually thought about posting the same video that you did.
