Not able to buy animals

I have tried this with all animals. I buy the pens they need, But when I go to the animal dealer It always has a - in front of the price. This is in the lower right of the menu where it gives the total price with fees. I have taken out all my mods and save games uninstalled and reinstalled but I get the same thing. Not much fun without animals to tend. Please help.

go to the icon at the pen, and try to buy them there.

Don't forget when at the animal dealer you have to press select at the bottom left of the screen then click how many animals you want.

Yep I have done that and went to the animal dealer. Same problem.
