Any way to remove a fire pit?
I'm playing on the first map, and I want to merge 3 fields in to one massive rectangular field. I already removed all the trees and did a lot of landscaping but there's a damn fire pit right in the middle of it. Is there any way to remove it? Any mods that allow that? Or can I open the map in an editor and remove it? It's the first map, I forgot the name of it.

Not that i know of. Unless a mod comes out.
I wasn’t even sure if those were fire pits. Some of them are in some weird locations like on the side of the road not near any houses.

as far as i know there is only the giant editor aka the map editor
if you mean the american map, i know your feeling. there is also a road throug the forest blocked with a gate that says "private property" and it cant be opend or removed even when you own the land yourself
just some bad map design in my opinion :/
I would reccomend making a copy of the map and making it into a mod then rmoving them in the editor. Modded maps are usually much better that base game maps.

It's been a while since I've used the editor, (FS19 was the last time) after I edit the map, can I still load my save afterwards?
You should be able to, as long as you do not delete an essential part,

You already got the only answer I have, which is the editor, but I just wanted to throw in that I think those are supposed to be field inlets to control flooding judging by the drain looking thing and the location marker, though some of them are in really odd places like way up by the road in the front yard of the base farm. It's a neat detail, but would be nice to be able to demolish them.

There is a mod - Painting and Terraforming Anywhere - which allows you to wreak havoc even on land you do not own

Just tried the mod, while its pretty useful unfortunately it doesn't allow me to remove the fire pit. Looks like the fire pit is one of those hard point props that can only be removed through an editor.

I would love to play that map as a farm manager, but removing those buildings and leaving huge sink holes is a Royal PITA to smooth out but I'm crap at landscaping anyway

I got it! I've downloaded Giants Editor, loaded the US map, found the damn fire pit and simply deleted it. Clicked save in the editor and then simply loaded the game. Everything is where it should be. I was worried that it might reset some fields or terraforming, but no everything is exactly where and how it was when I last saved the game, minus the fire pit.

BTW, I am trying to merge fields 52, 53, 54, and 55 in to one rectangular field. I hate those oddly shaped fields. There was a fire pit right below field 52. Now that I got rid of it, I can actually proceed.

That’s interesting. I thought fire pits to but wasn’t certain.

Where is the US map? I've tried to locate it to make a similar change but no idea where to find the US Map.

should be under

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Farming Simulator 22\data\maps\mapUS

unless it is a mod map.
