A way to keep the camera fixed?

The camera moving whenever I am turning my vehicle is causing severe motion sickness for me. I have tried the few camera options that I could find in the settings, but none keep the camera fixed. Is there a setting I overlooked?

If not... this is another game I can't play. I hate having this problem. Some games really make me so nauseous :(

I know, old topic, but I have same problem and asking, if someone knows a solution?
Even I switched every camera thing off, the damn camera is turning itself, when I stear my vehicle.

I want, that the camera ONLY moves, when I move my mouse.
Do someone knows a setting or a mod for this?

I ended up refunding the game.
If you do find a solution to this (a lot can happen in 2 years), please post it here.
I'd buy the game again if only I could play it.

I checked the whole internet for this problem!
In FS17, there was a "free camera mod", which explained PERFECTLY our problem. But in FS 19 there wasnt this mod and also in FS22.

I hope so much, that there is any mod, which has also this little change included. Because, its SUCH a little thing, but no one brought a solution for this.

It's a little backwards, your way to look at it.
The camera -IS- fixed - which the name of the old mod "Free Camera Mod" also describes in its name. But that's not really helpful :)

I'm using a controller (xbox) when driving. RS controls the camera movement.
Could that added control maybe mitigate the motion sickness? I mean: When turning one way, it's easy to turn the camera the other way at the same time. Well "easy"... maybe some practice would be needed :)

Sure, I can use the mouse and move the camera same time against this automatically movement (thats how Im playing actually), but this is really annoying.

I could tell you 10 reasons, why I need that function (or better say, disable this stupid function).

I cant believe, that there is no solution for such a tiny problem. The mod hub is full of nich stuff for just few peoples problems.
For a modder, its surely an very easy thing to make a mod for our problem.

The way I remember it (it was 2 years ago) is the camera moves with the vehicle when you steer.
That causes motion sickness for me. I also remember it was very severe in this game... I remember that very well For me it was literally unplayable after 30 seconds of driving.

It's a stupid problem you can't do much about. Only things that work is change the distance between you and the screen, increase the FOV and have control over the camera. (Differs per game, but it's usually a combination of these three)

It's worse in some games, non existent in others. FS22 takes the cake... no specific reason I can come up with. It's just the way it is.

There are many camera mods out there. All with strange functions. To stop automatically movement while stearing in a vehicle, CANT be that hard to change.

The only one reason, why there is no mod for this, MUST be the fact, that not many people have a problem with that "feature".

I never looked into it after I refunded.
I know I'm part of a very select group of people.
It's been a problem I have dealt with for most of my life, so I'm used to accepting there are some game I just can't play.
Now.. TBH that doesn't happen very often. Most of the time I can find a way to make it work for me. FS22 is just one of those games that hits me hard... I accepted it and moved on.

Don't worry... found something else that scratches my farming itch.

I'm sorry to hear that, honestly.
Maybe we are lucky and someone will bring a little mod for this tiny, but annoying problem.

I wouldnt know how. On the website, where the mod is (FS17 free camera mod), there is no option to contact him. His name is "HarvesteR", if I checked right.

It is. Tried a search for him, but OH BOY that is a troublesome name to have, in a farming game, lol. All that came up was millions of equipment mods :)

The last idea I would have is, going into a mod forum and asking someone else to write a mod for this.

I know this is old but still, even on fs25, nobody, literally nobody make this mod. It's frustrated. I manage to make that fs17 free camera mod to work with fs22 and fs25 by deleting all and just copy paste new scripts with the change from that old mod. It's working but no toggle key. I don't know how to do new scripting, no idea at all. Mod forum doesn't help at all, 4 years and not a single reply.
