Paint conditon
Hey! Is there any way to disable the Paint condition (like the mud)? I really don't see why it has to be forced to us like this, especially considering the astronomical price of repainting....

If you mean dirt you can turn it off in settings
Alex925 Dec 13, 2021 @ 8:41am
did you read my post?
GrandTickler Dec 13, 2021 @ 8:52am
no and it seems strange there isnt even a mod for this to make it cheaper yet, or if there is i couldnt find it :*( paint jobs should be max 1k

edit: how come u mention mud though? thats not part of the paint condition, thats probably why andros got confused :P

edit2: i just remembered most settings can be changed with text files though, anyone know which one covers the paint, if its editable?

If the information flowing in is true then the paint condition can be completely ignored until you're ready to sell the vehicle since it just adds value back to it. But outside of ignoring it? No there's no way to disable it.

-The mud that covers your vehicle after working you'll have to use the pressure washer from the Construction menu to clean it.

it does nothing mechanical but it does look like crap. also it's rather unrealistic to repaint your vehicle every few acres worked but only fill up the gas every few dozen acres.

thats not the issue here, the problem is that we have to pay 40k just to have our tractors look pretty again. (for a couple hours only i should add)

I hope it's fixed the current wear rate is stupidly high, even doing a single field with a new harvester leaves it looking worn.
Aaron Dec 13, 2021 @ 9:22am
Oh I agree that it's ridiculous that I have to pay near a quarter of my tractors value every time it touches the dirt. The only real things to get around it is to just continually lease and re-lease the tractors you need, ignore it, or pay for it and edit the cash back into your save via the .xmls.

And are we talking about the dirt/mud buildup over time working in the fields that can be washed off with the pressure washer, or do they actually look terrible once the value gets too low? I've never had my paint condition go below 20 - 25% and still looked relatively fresh after a wash. Field equipment is another matter though.

I am not sure if that's the case either. I've only tried it once. I paid 15K to repaint a tractor, the sell-price of the tractor only went up 14K after it, so that was a 1K loss for me.

Pressure washers are cheap...and it takes off dirt....

I don't mean DIRT! I mean the way PAINT is aging and the price of repainting... The fact that you can't disable this is a pain in the backside....
I know how to wash the tractor or even turn it off completely

I can't believe that you couldn't figure it out by yourself... Because I don't like the way it's implemented and how fast the paint degrades plus the cost of repainting....

I like to play with clean tractors and sometimes I even disable dirt completely to enjoy them, but now I have to look at an ugly machine that are almost 2 colors....
