Potatoes/Sugar Beets Storage

Where do you typically store your root crops? I know often they say to just put on the ground, but was curious if most are doing that or something else like a Bunker.

they can be stored at the train storage area, Erlengrat got 2 of em.
beets i usually dump a couple hundred thousand liters infront of a sugar factory

Personally, I always used a modded all-in-one silo to make it easy to store and keep track of them. Don't really consider it a cheat since there was a time even the official game itself used to provide shed storage for root crops.

Some of the shop buildings can hold them.

small sheds. Wish we had dedicated storage back in the game with the conveyor belt to move them.
