How does the silage additive work??

Provides a 5% yield increase. You can purchase a pallet of silage additive in the shop and load it into select trailed forage wagons and each of the forage harvesters will also accept it.

Yes that I know, but do I need to load the forage wagoon with grass, or silage? It does not seem to use the additive whatsoever

You put the additive in the forage harvester when you for example cut corn for chaff

Forage harvester should use it for cutting chaff, and forage wagons should use it when picking up grass.

I bought a baler with a silage additive tank attached, and the bales are the same 6000L. The amount of bales I got off the field was the same as before, so I'm not sure where that 5% comes in.

the additive works only for fresh products (grass, as in real life), it doesn't work for hay or straw
