Grapes - Mulching
Apologies if this has been discussed before.
I'm wondering if I need to mulch as close as possible to get every single weed of the field when mulching grape rows. I tried to build each row as close as possible to next one but when mulching with the TMC Cancela TPN 140 - 1.4m there is always a bit left, unless I mulch super close each row from each side, which is super time consuming.

Just wondering if it's necessary to get it 100% right or not.

hi mate, i just run up the middle of both, i use the small Zetor with narrow wheels and use the subsoiler and mulcher at the same time, it works good for me. if you watch the tutorial on the giants website, that's all they seem to do as well.

PS, rows are set as narrow as possible

thanks mate, also using subsoiler and mulcher at the same time is a good tip as well.

No-one seems to know how grapes work - well, I assume Giants know. :) But I'm also wondering how careful you have to be with plowing and mulching the rows - if we have to cover 100% of the ground around the rows, it's really, really not worth the effort. But there's no way to tell unless Giants lets us know how it actually works.

I tested yield mulching vs not mulching. Makes zero difference. I quit doing it.

did you logout and back in after mulching? I had my grapes at 70ish% fertilised .. I mulched, didn't seem to change anything, however I saw a few posts talking about restarting the game, which I did ... and everything got up to 100%.

I quit mulching and cultivating grapes - at the most was a 2% yield difference. And I use that dry fertilizer that hooks on the tractor and does 40m, as in 20m a side. Which is at least 5 rows, so I leave a row of grapes out every 10 rows and drive up a fertilize both sides.

Yeah, thats what I did. Since then I just stopped growing them. Not worth it.

I still grow them, because I added a mod that makes wine. But not very much, I admit.
