Which is best tree to plant for early game forestry? NOT birch thats for sure

No way im going thru all those birch trees, way too much hassle for almost no profit

Before you do any forestry, remember to save the game before as trees are glitching out after being cut down.

Pines is likely the best, remember you want some decent length logs for profit.

You have 2 types of trees, because the other 10 species are more difficult to work because cutting machines can not grab them. If you want to work with the remaining 10 species you would have to cut manually.

The 2 best species are are fir trees and pines. The fir is slow to grow 25 months, and the pine takes 21 months.

The fir tree gives a little more chip than pine but little difference, but it is more difficult to cut because it is much larger heavier and you can only use the largest cutting machine to cut it (Rottne H21D) because it is very wide. In addition, the fir slows down the game and gives a lot of lag (fewer photos per second) if there are several hundred trees sown in the same place.

Recommended pine because it is easier, but as a novelty is the fir that for being novelty is more attractive and is majestic bigger, if you do not slow down the game I personally used the fir.
