Dedicated Server

I just want to know, if I buy the game straight off Giants Software's website, does that include the dedicated server files ?

Yes, but they also in the Steam en Epic version. But you need a second key to run the server.

You can workaround it, but is out of scope of this forum :)

I am only going to host on a dedicated server so additional copy won't be needed :-)

I also do not want to install Steam/Epic on the server, that is the reason I want to buy straight off their website.

Yes but if you plan to run your own dedicated server you have to purchase a 2nd copy of the game.

Yah, I could never understand why it is done that way. But guess that is just what we have to deal with at the end of the day. If you want it, you will pay for it right.

I have a dedicated server on my dedicated box. I got a second copy from Giants website because thats where you get the dedicated server files.

We have no issue with multiplayer at all

Although the pirated copy (Imgur pic)[imgur.com] works with official servers, includes all DLCs and includes the dedicated_server.exe so you can host a server without paying twice.

Giants is a crooked company. They are the only company that makes you buy two copies of the retail game if you want to run a dedicated server. Dedicated server programs have zero to do with piracy, that is a bunch of bs.

honestly the fact that we still have to buy a second copy to have a dedicated server makes me regret buying fs22. i guess i will just have my friends help me on my real farm
