Force Feedback Wheel, no Force Feedback.
like the title says, i have my G-27 Force feedback wheel plugged in. but it feels the same as in the previous farming simulator titles. its only using the center spring. its not actually giving feedback.

it does not matter if i have the force feedback option set to 10% or 100% or any in between, its just not doing anything. jumped into ETS2 to check if my wheel is not broken because it is old at this point, but nope. works fine.

is the force feedback broken, or is there no force feedback at all? even though the option is there.

Try to edit gameSettings.xml in Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022
you can edit the forceFeedback value and go higher than what the game let you do.
I recommend a value of 3.0

Try using the search tool next time.

My G29 works fine but you have to have Ghub running in the background for the FFB and centering to work properly. I keep the FFB at around 70% and it's fine.

If you're going to give advice; try being a little more cordial and less condescending. Especially when the advice you give is completely wrong... :steamfacepalm:

The G-27 isn't supported on G HUB, and the last driver for the G-27 was in 2010 (the usual abandonment by Logitech for older hardware that's still very good). So again we have someone trying to make a completely legitimate question look like it's unfounded, just because "my completely different model works fine, so you don't have a problem". :steamdeadpan:

Lodewijk, I'm not sure if you found a solution, but I am actively searching for one and will post any findings on here if successful. Cross fingers! I really want it to work too...

I have a G923 and all i get is centering spring resistance, i bought this to enjoy some proper ffb but its just one big fat lie, no different to fs19. I have tried everything..Ghub open etc etc and nothing works...along with the bugs this has been a total letdown, will not buy from these devs in future, they are amateurs at best

I've searched all night for a solution to this and am having the same conditions. Spring works fine, wheel works fine, but no FF at all.

What's frustrating is that I read others with newer models of wheel posting about how they feel some pretty decent FF effects in the game, so it seems there's proof it is implemented (and feels good). It's just a shame that older (decent) hardware isn't supported.

There was a time that the G-27 was considered one of the best wheels out there. I see no good reason why Logitech wouldn't continue adding it to their software, short of deliberately handcuffing its loyal customers and forcing them to buy newer models of the same thing... Classic capitalism, but in this age of e-waste and plastic pollution it's hardly the responsible thing to do.

I guess, unless GIANTS take the time to specifically implement the G-27 with its current drivers into the game, it looks like if we want FF we need to buy a new wheel setup.

Not that I've given up just yet; I'll keep looking for possible solutions and post here if I find anything. It's not looking promising though :steamsad:

Have you had an issue since the update? I finally had time to hop on because of work. Tonight is the first time I have had issues with my G29 and force feedback. In the past I could fix it by unplugging my wheel and plugging it back in and the would clear the issue. Now when I do that, the game crashes.

They are trolling you. FFB is not a thing in Farming Simulator (confirmed by Giants themselve). The only thing you will get is Spring Centering. The "others" you read, posting how good FFB is, just doesn't know what is a true FFB. For them FFB = spring centering.

At least you have center spring.

Try using a Thrustmaster no centering and no resistance was so ever. It’s almost useless using the wheel.

I see. That's unfortunate. I've not seen any specific info on that from GIANTS, but if it is as you say, I can at least feel better that I'm not really missing much. :manthinking:

You are right, Holyvision. Caught it by accident and spent a lot of time to repeat this "success". Until now it's the only way to feel some sort of FFB. It's more like adaptive centering spring that makes your steering wheel harder to turn with speed increasing. It is not perfectly suitable for tractors and combines, but works similar on modern trucks and cars with adaptive power steering.
For those who are still interested here is the method: Launch FS22 -> Alt+Tab to Desktop -> Launch Logitech G-HUB and set Centering Spring Strength to 3-10% (or what you would like), checkbox below needs to be turned off -> Return to the game and enjoy until Giants make something better.
P.S. Excuse me for my English, still studying.

Well, damn. This is pretty disappointing. Handling vehicles while feeling like the steering wheel is just going to go flying off is... well, TERRIBLE.

I hope GIANTS implements something decent sooner rather than later...

Good luck with that. This thread is over a year old... Disappointing customers isn't something that bothers them. Hence their cryptic clues for what's in a season pass, id est: "it's all kind of crap, so we don't want to tell you".

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

I was reading through this post. Saw a post with a similar issue I had that was resolved by community. Turns out it was my post from years ago. Haha
