Whats the point of a vehicle workshop?

It would make sense that if you pay for the vehicle workshop, the running costs would be greatly reduced. however that is not the case. What is the point of it other then having one at your farm?

You have the option of repairing equipment remotely instead of driving or moving it all the way back to the shop to do it. You still need to go back to the shop to repaint, but having the ability to remote repair a farming fleet on the other side of the map is quite nice. Harvesters tend to need it often and they're one of the harder machines to move around.

there is also the RP part of it. Building up your own farm. As in real life, no farmer will survive without a workshop on the farm.

It means you can also change configs of vehicles, you may want to put double wheels on something on a temp basis for example.

It would make sense if it offered discounted repairs. You wouldn't be paying a dealership premium with an on-site mechanic or making the repairs yourself.

Exactly. I wish this was the case, but i guess giants thought of it differently

I'm looking for a small (as in cheap) workshop mod to add to my farm. Don't see any here yet.

You can use the vehicle workshop to customize your tractor (add a front loader, increase the hp or, more importantly, swap tires for specific jobs).

There is a mod that is a placeable workshop that is just a outlined area with a lift-jack for payments and another mod that lowers repair and painting costs, I have them both.
