I think, developers shall add a splitter command to options menu, then we can switch from 1-6 mode to 7-12 gears mode. I think it will be better solution.
Look at that picture. That's powershift. Once you put the lever out of neutral to the right side where the gears are (1-15 in this example), you absolutely shift with no cluth, but simply move the lever to the preferred gear.
So in answer to this:
I only have to say: Please don't tell me you want to have an 18 gears h pattern.
