FS19 is stable and has a lot of awesome mods. FS22 is very buggy and unstable atm. Also just a handful mods...

FS19 all the way FS22 is the exact same game only with a few free mods from FS19 included and they call it new features. Graphics and Physics are the same only you get 1,000's of awesome mods on Modhub for FS19. I still play FS17 as well as it has the best vehicle physics by a mile with the "MR" mod. I have time in all 3 and FS19 slays it for now in maybe a year FS22 will get there, but not yet not even close.

I would say FS22, it runs so much better than all other FS games. And yes there is som bugs in 22 but give it a week or so, and many of them will be fixed.

FS19 all the way right now. FS22 is very broken and should have never been released in this condition.

FS22 runs as smooth as silk for me so really not sure what the problems are first hand. I would say if you new to it all go with FS22. It has all the "greatest hits" of FS19 built into the game so you don't have to worry with even more keyboard shortcuts to open up the sub menus for all the different things you want to do, making it cleaner and clearer.

I was late to the party in FS19 and after I got used to the core gameplay and started to branch out was when FS22 was announced, and although I did have a look at the rather overwhelming seasons and global company mods, I just said nah and waited for the new game. And now I can see what all the fuss was about. Its just there and in plain english, admittidly it probably isn't in as much depth as the mod (I am on about seasons here) but I am sure mods will come soon to expand on it.

You have to ask yourself if FS22 will get to the point where it is as cycleboxer said "there" in maybe a year would you really want to buy essentially the same game - as people are calling it - again?

I find it hard to stomach everyone saying 22 is the same game as 19, All the FS titles have similarities, yes. But as someone who has played every title from the start, this is BY FAR the best one, It looks better, feels better, and adds a whole lot more with the production lines and AI worker updates. The mods will come, give the modders time. I also seen someone complaining that "none of it is american", which is frustrating for the simple fact that most of the ag stuff in FS has been European based until the launch of 19 with John Deere (minus mods). My opinion get the new one, be patient with bugs, its a new release all games have them. And enjoy this amazing title. Cheers!

FS 19 by a mile.

So what I'm getting is that FS22 is really good and therefore I should definitely buy FS19.

that's pretty messed up

to me FS22 looks like FS17+FS19 combined; I agree FS17 has better physics even without any mods.

Seasons in FS22 is too basic I preferred the modded FS19 seasons (FS17 has seasons too and still more advanced than FS22 if you can believe that!

the hired worker AI is crap just like all the previous versions. I'd get both, FS19 for the mods and get FS22 because that's the future.

It looks a bit better but there are some glitches with lighting so probably some bugs hopefully that is going to be worked out

My .02 FS22 Has the potential to be very good. But, atm there are issues. The worker AI is alot better than it is in FS19. The graphics do look better in FS22 but tbh that's not really a major selling point for me anyway one way or another. The production chains being baked in so to speak is a big thing. FS22 has quite a few bugs right now that will take time to work out. FS19 has 3 years of development and bug fixes as well as 3 years of a modding community behind it. That allows it to be alot more flexible as to gameplay styles than FS22 at the moment. As a new player I think your going to have an easier learning curve with FS19 than FS22 in not having to deal with the Seasons nor the extended growth periods, stones in the fields and a few other things added on top, that your going to have to deal with and learn the associated equipment for. Can you do it with FS22? certainly. Do I think you will have a more enjoyable experience right now with FS19, yes. In six months my opinion may and probably will be different. As both the modding community grows and FS22 gets patched and fixed. So take that into consideration. I think FS19 has years worth of life left in it easily. Pick whichever one you want or watch some youtubers play FS19 and FS22 and make the informed decision for yourself.

If you never played this game , get FS 22. It gonna be better in few month then any previous release. FS 19 is dead horse now. No point to buy it for new player.
Codger Nov 23, 2021 @ 10:59pm
FS22 is a steaming p.o.s. at the moment. Go for FS19 if you want to have an enjoyable experience.

FS19 without blinking.

Read my review why i think that is.

Giants spend more resources on making trailers for their game than they did making any content, what little new content is there comes from better mods in Farming Simulator 19.

These games are turned and slapped on a new name for more profit, you are basically stealing people's money at this point.

SCS is a grand example of how something can be made with a labour of love for the same game rather than greedily flipping the same game to resell old content, if you are buying this make sure you buy it retail where the developers receive no money for their recycled game.

If developers reuse some of the same assets so they can spend more time in other areas like gameplay then i'm all for the idea, but these developers have flipped the same game for a decade now, until people start thinking before they buy it will not change.

The AI is far more A than I, even worse than it was in fs19 and in 19 it was already pretty freaking bad how they can worsen what is already near the bottom is a achievement in itself, ai drivers often get stuck driving on roads to farms, there are more issues others can explain to you.

The game is still a lifeless sandbox game, don't let the trailers fool you into thinking it offers something else.

Normally i would say, i can't do a better job at developing this game cause i'm not a developer, but in this case any experience with blender and 3d modeling or making a basic calculator in C++ you could put more work into this game than the developers have for 10 years.

Modders is a testament to this if anything.

The only positive i can add is that Giants got rid of their publisher so now they have more freedom to do what they want, but if FS22 is the example of how you work then i hate to see when you slack.

You had 3 years, drinking coffee and talking about a game is not the same as working on it.

Impress us with your patches content and speed Giants, 1-2 patches a week atleast which one man developers can do for smaller games.
