Installing maps (Calmsden Farm)

How do I install new maps? I am putting the zip. file into the Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2022/mods folder but the new map does not show up in the game.

Yes, it does. When you start a new career you can at some point choose between the three built-in maps. At this stage, use the left/right arrow keys to see more maps you have installed.
Btw, the Calmsden map is available through the ingame modhub. Installing it from there improves integrity of your FS22 installation and provides you any available updates automatically when they are QC'ed. You may find newer versions on the web atm, but since FS22 is relatively new, one can expecct that new versions also involve new glitches which youu may not want. Up to your choice, really.

Unfortunately the arrow keys only show the three maps built into the game. Calmsden is not there.

Make sure there are not zipped files inside the zipped file you downloaded.

I have checked and there are none. I have been playing FS19 since it came out and not had these problems there.

Are you sure it is the fs22 version? I would do some file checking to see what the issue is. It might be a bad copied version and not the original.

Downloaded https://farmingsimulator22mods.com/calmsden-farm-v1-0-fs22/ so am pretty sure this is ok. linked from Giants page.

I would suggest just using the one on the game mod hub. i do not think that one you have is the original.

Start the game and go to downloadable content in the menu. it is in the maps category.

...also, why are these new maps not appearing in the Downloadable Content in game - I cannot see any new maps there at all. There are loads on FS19 and are easy to find but there doesn't appear to be a Maps subsection in downloads on FS22.

Try changing the mod type filter so it says all mods, not crossp[lay mods. Maybe try verifying game file integrity so that the game will update.

Menu is showing all mods and I have even uninstalled the game from Steam and reinstalled it and it's not showing any updates available. Also I cannot see a section headed Maps in the Downloadable Content menu. This is getting very frustrating and I'm beginning to wonder if I should have bought the standalone game rather than getting it through Steam.

What game version are you seeing in the top left corner of the main menu?


Are you choosing the very top tab in the modhub page?

Just checked the game and I was running a beta version!! Have now re-installed the original and everything seems to be working fine. :) Your last comment about the game version was the key so thank you for all your time and help. Much appreciated.
