FS22 in VR with VorpX
Yesterday I played about an hour of FS22 using my Quest2 VR headset linked to my PC using VorpX. It looked absolutely amazing. It was so immersive driving around on my farm in my equipment and getting out and looking at all my fields and shops in this virtual environment. It was not totally smooth, it stutters a bit in the beginning and gets a little better over time as you play. Clipping happens often if you turn too fast. Its not real 6DOF. Sadly, in the end, its just not optimized enough to play for longer periods. But man... I cannot wait till this is a native thing one day. It's gonna be amazing 😎

I know this is month-old thread, but how would you set it up... exactly? I have a Quest 2 myself, and noticed FS22 has a "head/eye tracking" option. Is it too terribly difficult to get working? I couldn't care less for the controllers or any of that junk, just being able to look around in my tractor and work fields would be enough... kinda like how Arma 3 has an independent head and body.

Hi Legend, I decided to go back and try to get VorpX to work better for me. It's still not perfect. My biggest gripe is that when you are standing still, I feel the world around me kind of keeps twitching. You don't notice it so much when you are driving equipment around since everything is moving. I have been playing FS22 exclusively in VR using VorpX the past three weeks. It is absolutely incredible to play this simulator in VR. Why the developers have not added any VR support for this yet is beyond me, I guarantee the developers are playing this game in VR in their spare time. Here is my specs and setup:

My PC specs are:
i7-6700K CPU @ 4.0 GHz (8 cpus), 16gb ram
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 8gb vram
Windows Pro 64 bit, DirectX 12

Before starting the game in VorpX, setup the graphics for Farming Simulator exactly the way you want it. Then start VorpX and go into configuration menu (right click tray icon), General section and checkmark "Don't optimize game settings". This kept changing my game resolution to something awful. Next go to Cloud Profiles and search for "Farming Simulator 2022 [mathisp21], import and apply. This profile should at least give you 6dof tracking. The standard default profile that is located in local section has head tracking on and for some reason this has the opposite effect in the game. This is not the same setting in-game for head tracking, this is a VorpX specific setting. You should go ahead and save a profile of what you imported. Because later if you make changes and hit return to default, I find it goes back to Vorpx profile default and you have import all over again. No idea why it doesn't just let us setup favorites in the menu. Start the game, VorpX should automatically hook and launch it in VR. Middle mouse button to easily switch between VR and Cinematic mode. You need to do this often while playing as it is the only way to see and use the menus. You don't need the hand controllers. Can do everything with either a game pad or like me, I use a G29 steering wheel, pedals and shifter plus the mouse and kb. I use the mouse to select things in the menu. Also I have to adjust my view every time I get in a vehicle by adjusting it with the mouse. You can adjust the Hud by going into the VorpX menu while in game by hitting the Delete key on the kb. I reduced the tracking speed to about 35. This will get you pretty much where I am at in the settings. Just fiddle around and tweak things as needed. It takes time to get used to it. Like I said, it ain't perfect. You need good VR legs. You also have to love FS and really want to be in VR to put up with all of this.
